LAGOS, NIGERIA - Alhaji Ademola Fashola, the father of the Lagos state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, is dead.
He died this morning in Lagos after a brief illness. He was aged 79. Last year, he was flown to the United States for medical treatment at the height of the Lagos Doctors’ strike according to a news website. Governor Fashola has been reported to be away in Saudi Arabia and is on his way back to Lagos.
