Stephen Lawrence Report shows Met Police is Corrupt

Stephen Lawrence died 21 years
A judge-led public inquiry is to be launched into the work of undercover officers in the wake of a major review into police corruption in the original Stephen Lawrence investigation. Theresa May, the Home Secretary has said she found the findings "profoundly shocking".

The allegations include:
  • the Met possibly undermining the McPherson inquiry
  • undercover police officers spying on the Lawrence family camp during the course of the judicial inquiry into matters arising from Stephen's death 21 years ago;
  • looking for links to gangs, drugs and demonstrations by family members while they were grieving;
  • evidence to suspect one of the detectives on the original Stephen Lawrence murder investigation - detective sergeant John Davidson - acted corruptly.
