UK - Barristers in England and Wales staged a half-day
walkout in protest at government cuts to legal aid, which could leave them paid
as little as £20 for a day's work.

As you can see 761 lawyers earn just £10k, that is less than what a supermarket assistant earns. But often lawyers have a way of making and defending their point successfully.
