Photos: The Enrich Africa Women's Breakfast Event in London

It was a day that would be fondly remembered. Being our first ever breakfast event, I was quite uncertain as to what the outcome of the event would be. But my brilliant team made up of Ayomide, Temitope, Adeleke, Rotimi, Damilare, Setemi, Nicole and Keane all went the extra - special mile and made the whole event roll by successfully.

By 9:15 gorgeous ladies began to arrive and bang on time the venue had filled up and put our slightly delayed start time to shame - this I must commend them all for.

Our chef, Jose was on hand creating a marvelous hot breakfast meal of toasts, baked beans, bacon, fried eggs, sausages, cereal, tea and coffee.

The MC was elegant in a smashing turquoise summer suit set the event in motion by starting with a prayer.
As the ladies had their breakfast, they were treated to motivational words of empowerment by our four inspirational speakers and leading thinkers.Money raised would go towards a computer and resources for our Education Centre in London. The centre offers support for women, young people and children by empowering them and raising aspirations in education and in employment or self-employment,

What 's this tale about Princess Kate's royal baby and a surrogate mother?

Princess Kate with husband, Prince William. Photo: www.inquisitr.com
As usual…what is any meaningful life without interesting conspiracy theories? According to news site MSN, a Russian newspaper has made a serious allegation concerning our Princess!

Here is what they are claiming:

  1. that Princess Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge was never pregnant and if she indeed was pregnant that the princess was in fact born several days before the birth was announced. What?
  2. that a surrogate was used to carry the baby and that the Duchess of Cambridge wore a fake pregnancy belly. WHAT?

The group of Russian women who made this claim come from the town of Komsomolskaya Pravda. They went on to say that there was nothing which would help a woman, even if she gave birth with the help of best doctors, stand up five hours after giving birth – and leave the clinic on her feet.

From my own personal experience of going through pregnancy and childbirth a few times - thanks be to God, When I saw her snapshots, I thought she looked GOOD for a woman who had just had a baby. Do some women look like that right after childbirth? Maybe, with the right make-up... But still, I had to take a really good look at her face in the photographs to search for bags under her eyes, puffy cheeks, a big fat belly, tired eyes and so on but I could not find any. So, the make-up artist must be really good.

What I assume she is - is a super mother, probably springing up from the birthing bed right after the baby popped out, and doing a waltz around the room as her tired nurses cleared up. If that is the case, lucky her.

For me in reality, after the first six months of carry a 6-7lb baby around, I would start counting down to the D-day. I would feel really tired all the time and would want to put my feet up even without doing much. The last few weeks were when I would feel the most tired. When labour finally kicked in, I would often not have the energy to push the baby out. I would be in pain... after shocks of labour etc. My face would be puffy and tired with a gigantic belly and breasts flopping around. That is my experience of childbirth.

Labour often takes from about 2 to 16 hours of hard labour in most cases. As an expectant mum, when your baby finally arrives, you will feel that you have being running a marathon for nine months and all you want to do after the birth (that is, if you don't need to be stitched up etc) is lie down and sleep. But maybe pregnancy and childbirth is different for the Princess - she may be extra fit, used extra powerful herbal drinks and probably some Chinese martial arts - or hypnosis…maybe???

This is the second time that a theory like this will make rounds. In 2013, right after Prince George was born, some peole claimed that she had not put on weight during the pregnancy and that a surrogate mother had been used,

What do you think? Did Princess Kate look too good to have just given birth a few hours earlier? Did you spot a postnatal belly?
