Farewell Tribute to Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb

LONDON (Reuters) - Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb, who with brothers Barry and Maurice helped define the disco era with their falsetto harmonies and funky beats on hits like "Stayin' Alive" and "Jive Talkin'", has died after a long fight with cancer. He was 62.
The singer had colon and liver cancer and, despite brief improvements in his health in recent months, passed away on Sunday evening.

Obama - 'The first GAY president

Newsweek released a controversial cover depicting Obama as the "first gay president." In the May 21 issue, Obama is pictured with a 'halo' and  his recent stance on gay marriages among the LGBT community is viewed as a beacon of hope for gays and lesbians. On the other hand, could this be the beginning of something more significant - the dawn of a new way of life around the world? A new world order? Is Obama sending out a signal to other governments to accept his stance. It's a brave move and we have to wait and see which way the wind blows.

NIGERIA - The National Judicial Council has recalled the suspended President of the Appeal Court, Justice Ayo Salami.
Salami was recommended for reinstatement on Thursday at a decisive meeting of the judicial council attended by 18 members. The decision to formally recall Justice Salami was reached by a slim vote of 10 members voting in favour of his recall, while eight members voted against.

NIGERIA - 30/04/12 - At least 11 people were killed in a bomb attack on a police convoy in Jalingo, a town in north-eastern Nigeria, police say.
"A bomber on a motorcycle rammed into the police escort rider," a police spokesman said.
The attack comes a day after at least 20 people were killed at several churches including a church based in the Bayero University, Kano in northern Nigeria where hundreds have died in Islamist attacks this year.
