Disco Queen, Donna Summers dies at 63

Donner Summer is dead. She died in the morning at her home in Key West, Florida at age 63 following a battle with breast cancer and lung cancer. Named the Queen of Disco, Summer melted hearts with her sultry voice and lyrics which included chart hits such as ‘Love to Love you baby’ and ‘Bad Girls'.
Summer was one of seven children born and raised in Boston, USA. Following her move to Austria in 1971, she met and fell in love with actor Helmuth Sommer while the two were acting in Godspell.  In 1973, the couple married and that year Summer gave birth to her first child, daughter Mimi Sommer. They later divorced and Summer re-married Bruce Sudano and had two more children.
In 1979, after a nervous break-down, Summer became born-again.
