US Elections: Why and how Hilary Clinton is losing

USA: Hilary Clinton the Democratic presidential nominee may have lost because of:
her carelessness with  state emails;
  1. she is a woman;
  2. she did not defend african Americans during their long troubles with the killings of black men and homelessness, education and many more;
  3. she fainted during the campaign
  4. her husband was a president - too much power in one family

Can you think of anything else?

Barak Obama - The Challenges Ahead

Second term in office: President Obama
After a long and gruelling campaign,  President Barak Obama has won the US elections by a whisker. This comes as good news to Democrats and not so good news for Mitt Romney. Across America, statistics show that more Latinos voted for Obama than ever. This comes as good news to the Obama camp but projects a split view of America - whites on one side and African Americans, Latinos and other ethnic minorities on the other...a divided country. Mor women and youths also voted for Democrats.

Challenges Ahead

The most important task for President Barak Obama will be to bring all groups together and  most especially the Republicans (who have clout in American power circles) in order to make the story of America a success. Politics in America should not be a white and black affair.

Many people around the world including in African believed that Obama won by chance but with his re-election shows that the president has substance and is an obvious choice but he now needs to work out a strategy to pull everyone together.

President Obama will need to focus on:

  • A workable plan
  • Pushing forward policies that will pass the Republican camp
  • Uniting the senate
  • Taxes
  • Unemployment
  • Health insurance reforms
  • Technology
  • Immigration
  • Housing
  • Ethical food production
  • Peace in the world
Finally, president Obama needs to eat some good food and take a long relaxing sleep! He looks like he needs it.

US and China elect new leaders - what Africa can expect

China and the United States are about to go to the polls to choose new leaders. And what crucial events to happen at a time like this.  On Tuesday, the next American president will be elected and two days later, the 18th congress of the Chinese Communist Party will select the new Chinese president and prime minister.

Whoever ever becomes leader in these two powerful countries will determine the course the world takes both in terms of peace and prosperity in the next four years.

 Relations with China

Mitt Romney has said that he finds China's power uncomfortable and if he wins the US elections, Romney will focus his attention on reducing China's rise to supremacy in the world realm. This could reduce political and economic deals and harm the global recession. If Obama wins on the other hand, political watchers have concluded that president Obama would probably re-focus on the American people by creating more jobs, implement more health and social reforms.

Outlook for Africa

The love for Obama is still waxing strong in many sub-Saharan African countries and especially in South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. South Africa has been the biggest recipient of American aid. Millions of dollars and medication has been donated to South Africa to cater for HIV sufferers by the US. But a during a visit to Cape Town made by Mrs Clinton in July 2012, she informed South Africans that she could not promise that the aid and business from the US will continue if president Obama is not re-elected into power.
