New vaccine could stop 100m cases of malaria a year

Could this be the time for celebration? A new malaria vaccination has been  made by British pharmaceutial company, GlaxoSmithKline. The jab has the potential to prevent up to 100m cases of the malaria disease each year and save 200,000 lives.
The protective effect of the vaccine lasts for up to 18 months.

This may be good news to people in sub-Saharan Africa. However, the side effects of this jab have not disclosed.

In sub-Saharan regions, natural herbs have been used for generations and are effective if used the right way and have so far helped to keep the disease at bay. The arrival of European medication has, however, made the use of this ancient medicine redundant.

Africans need to carryout more research into the use herbs and package the medicine weII.
