WAC 2013 - Four Nigerian set to take part in opening parade tonight

According to a Nigerian based newspaper called Tribune, FOUR Nigerians will be part of the parade as the 2013 World Athletics Championships officially opens at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia.

SHOW OF STARS AS WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS KICKS OFF IN MOSCOW

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - The World Athletic Championships has begun in Moscow. This year's event will see many Olympic Champions competing against each other.  The Men's 800m took place earlier today with British Nigerian Andre Osagie qualifying in third place. The race was won by America’s Duane Solomon in  with Abdulaziz Ladan Mohammed coming second. Here is the line up of today's coming events:

2.05pm Men's Hammer - Qualification Group A - completed
2.20pm Women's 3000m Steeplechase - Heats has taken off
3.05pm Women's 400m - Heats with British Nigerian Christine Ohuruogu
3.35pm Men's Hammer - Qualification Group B
3.55pm Men's 10,000m - Final
4.20pm Women's Long Jump - Qualification
4.40pm Men's Decathlon - 400m
5.15pm Men's 100m - Heats with Usain Bolt and James Dasaolu
6.05pm Opening Ceremony
