At last, there is here something for Nigerians to talk about, NIGERIA'S new World Cup kits which were sold out in minutes.Nigerian Jersey sold by Nike. The home and away retro jersey designs were designed specially for Nigerian football fans.
The The jersey set was was launched by top Nigerian artists lead by Wizkid and Tiwa Savage at an event on Thursday after Nike had to push back the launch date due to the hype surrounding the kit.
By Friday morning, hundreds of Nigerians were seen queuing up at the Nike stores across London. By midday on Friday, Nike announced that the jerseys were sold out.
Nigerians have taken to twitter to vent their frustration and disamy. The retro style has been said to be what fan love about this best ever jersey kit designed for Nike. While prices for the jerseys started at £64.95, across the ocean in Nigeria, thousands of fans helped themselves to fake shirts at N6,000.
