MGHS OGA UK & Ireland Galilee Walk Fundraiser is on April 2nd

London, UK - At last, the Easter weekend is upon us and there is a lot to look forward to!
First, as an old girl of MGHS Yaba, Lagos (the one and only MGHS), I am pleased to let you know that the MGHS Old Girls' Association UK & IRELAND is raising funds to rebuild a part of our old school - Methodist Girls'High School, Yaba, Lagos.

One of the pictures below shows the extent of the disrepair. The building is so bad that rain water falls into the classrooms. Please, help us make our school better by making a donation.

Here are latest updates from the fundraising committee.

"On Monday 2nd April, approximately 75 ladies from MGHS OGA UK &IRELAND will be taking part in an 8KM Walk at Hyde Park Corner.

Our aim is to give back to an amazing school that has been providing a strong foundation for young girls since 1879.

Unfortunately, since we  left school, a section of the school complex has been completely ruined.
The complex is due to be demolished and will be replaced by a new building. The new building is estimated to cost N350m (£700k).

The Galilee Walk kicks off our fundraising to help raise funds for the new school building.
