Missing Air Algerie plane found: No survivors as wreckage found near Burkino Faso border

Photo: krdo.com
Overnight, reports have emerged that wreckage from the plane has been found near Mali's border with Burkino Faso, according to officials.
Burkina Faso's commander in chief Gilbert Diendere said the burnt-out wreckage of flight AH5017 was found south of the Mali town of Gao, 30 miles north of the border.
He said searchers found human remains and burned and scattered plane wreckage at the site.
Many questions remain unanswered regarding the fate of the Air Algerie flight.
The discovery of wreckage south of Gao, near the Burkina Faso border, contradicts a statement by Mali's president last night that the plane had been found crashed in the far north of the country, between the towns of Aguelhoc and Kidal, just south of the Algerian border.

This is the second plane to crash within days. A Malaysia plane carrying 298 people from Netherlands crashed over Ukraine a few days ago. Another Malaysian plane MH370
disappeared mid-flight with 239 people on board.
