Bring Our Girls back leader arrested by Nigerian police for girls abducted by Boko Haram militants


Nigerian police authorities detained Naomi Mutah Nyadar yesterday over claims she falsely claimed to be mother of one of the missing schoolgirls.
Ms Nyadar had been at a protes meeting calling on Nigerian leaders to do more to find the 230 girls abducted by Islamist rebels, a local source said. Authorities claimed that she had been arrested for saying, Bring back our girls’ when she was not one of the mothers of the missing girls!

Who is Boko haram?
Boko Haram are Nigerian insurgents, who want to create an Islamic state in Nigeria. Three weeks ago, they stormed a secondary school in the village of Chibok in the north-east of the country and took the girls away in lorries.

Boko Haram claimed on a video on Monday that they are responsible for the abductions.  The Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau said "I abducted your girls,"in a TV news report.
