BAHRAIN - It was a nerve raking race from start to finish as Lewis Hamilton and his team mate Nico Rosberg sped through the finishing line, with just seconds apart, Hamilton inched ahead receiving the chequered flag to win the Bahrain Grand Prix. CONGRATULATIONS LEWIS!
For Hamilton this is a record breaking moment in history - This is the 24th time that he will chequered flag in his F1 career. The son of a Granadian father and a white British mother, Lewis Hamilton is the first black driver ever to win a Grand Prix not once nor twice but several times.
He is also the first driver of black African heritage to win a major race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in any discipline.
In his first season in Formula One, Hamilton set numerous records, while finishing second in the 2007 Formula One Championship, just one point behind Kimi Räikkönen. Hamilton won the World Championship the following season
