War may break out between North Korea and the US by tomorrow

A war could start by tomorrow as North Korea moves missiles to east coast and the US bolsters missile defences on Guam.
  • 'The moment of explosion is near' says Kim Jong Un, North Korea's leader who is thought to be in his 20s
  • U.S. deploys battalion to the coast and gears up for a dangerous nuclear and chemical warfare
  • North Korea moves Musudan missile with 3,000km range to its east coat which can reach Japan.
  • U.S military has deployed missile defence system to the Pacific island of Guam
  • U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says 'The danger from North is real and clear danger'
  • American troops rehearse anti-nuke routine to demonstrate superior strength
  • Chinese deploy thousands of soldiers and weaponry on the border with the Korean Peninsula
  • John Kerry warns that North is 'provocative, dangerous and reckless'

USA has sent a missile sysytem to Gwam - according to Phillip J Crawley Assisitant Secretary of State 2009 -2011. This he says, will send a message out that the US is prepared to defend its interests and allies around Korea.

China
China is irritated by the action of North Korea about stopping South Korean businessmen from entering a border park. The Chinese have, therefore, moved a battalion of the Chinese Army towards North Korea ready to strike.

United Kingdom

We now live in a dangerous and unstable world said David Cameron today. He warned that the threat from Kim Jong-un's regime would make it "foolish" to abandon Trident nuclear submarines in UK.

In February, North Korea celebrated the launch of their latest nuclear missile and since the, 28,000 US troops have been stationed in the region. Yesterday, in a show of strength, the 23rd chemical battalion demonstrated their skills in view of the world press.

How serious is US taking these threats?

Quite seriously say the US Defense Department. The US does not know what type of missiles the North Koreans have and what their next step is. Governments around the world believe that the North Koreans don't really want war but their concern something can go very wrong. This is a real and possible danger as the conflict escalates things get out of hand - we could end up having one of the most dangerous wars in the planet.

How dangerous is the situation?

There are now enough missiles facing South Korea to wipe out 40 million people. There is speculation that the North Korean leader is trying to impress his people and gain respect. The South Korean leader, is also young and eager to impress her constituents as well.

Should we be scared?

Kim Jong Un, was unveiled in September 2010 as his father's choice as successor, and is the third-generation Kim to rule the nation of 24 million.

In April 2012 he formally took over ruling party leadership, becoming First Secretary of the Workers Party. Since, he came into power, Kim Jong Un has launched and tested several rockets. It is not known whether the young North Korean president has any older relative to advice him.

Africa

As the world's powers gather and prepare for a worse case scenario of nuclear showmanship, where would Africa stand and how would African countries defend their territories or allies, if necessary?
