Do men prefer to commit to a beautiful woman rather than to a kind one?

I have heard so many times that men are visual beings. That is, men remember what they see more than how someone's behaves to them. If that is the case, then, it means that men are shallow in their thinking. Happily, I have found from observing men in and out of relationships that man is basically human just like women. They appreciate beauty in their environment and that includes the beauty of women. A man will take notice of a woman if she looks good and has a nice smile. There is nothing wrong with that. A woman would do the same as well. 

But would a man just go for a woman just because of her looks? Probably, yes, if he does not have a relationship in mind. But if a man has a long term relationship in  mind, he may tend to look deeper or so I believe. I'm not a man, so, I can't really say. Remember, my assumptions come form my observations. 

If a man picks a woman out of a crowd for a long term relationship, yes, he would be attracted to what she is wearing, her make up, hairstyle, complexion, height , shape and so on. But, most sensible men would look deeper beyond the surface appearance into the heart and if he finds goodness and warmth there, he is more likely to commit.
