UK - Over 100 unversities up and down the country begin a series of strikes over their pension arrangement on Thursday.
Lecturers claim that if universities charge between £9000 for home students (and up to £30,000 for international students), then, universities should be able to put it in place a good pension scheme for workers.
Strikes are currently scheduled for the next four weeks until mid-March, but could be extended for another three months.
64 UK institutions will be hit with 14 days of strikes over the next four weeks if the dispute is not resolved.
