New York Fashion Week opens with Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner on the runway

Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent designer, Tom Ford opened the New York Fashion Week with 90s glamour, showcasing sequinned gowns, structured dinner jackets and shorts.

Supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner walked the runway, while Kim Kardashian West took a prime spot on the front row.

As Irma leaves, Antigua and Barbuda now under a hurricane watch for Jose

At least nine people have been reported dead from the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma. The hurricane furiously swept across the Caribbean with winds up to 120mph, reducing buildings to rubble and causing widespread flooding. Irma is a category five hurricane, the highest possible level. 

The small islands of Barbuda and St Martin have been reported to be 95% destroyed, and the death toll is likely to rise officials say.

The hurricane is currently north of the Dominican Republic and swiftly heading towards Turks and Caicos. It is estimated that it will hit Florida in a few hours.
